The Taxation Laws (Second Amendment) Bill, 2016 was introduced in Lok Sabha on November 28, 2016 and passed in Lok Sabha yesterday. It seeks to amend the Income Tax Act, 1961 and Finance Act, 2016. Some of the changes and new tax proposals on income are given below:
